BOTOX & Xeomin

Botox® and Xeomin® injections are an effective and safe way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines such as crow's feet, frown lines, brow wrinkles and the dreaded "angry 11s".

Do they work to prevent wrinkles?

They are neuromodulators, which means they act to block the signals between the nerves and the muscles. In the facial muscles, these nerves “tell” the muscles when to contract in response to facial expressions like frowning or smiling.

As the muscles contract, they pull and tug at the skin to create lines, wrinkles, and creases that deepen over time. Neurmodulators block those signals, so when you make a facial expression, the muscles aren't “told” to contract, and lines and wrinkles don't form.

Where are they used?

Botox and Xeomin treat dynamic wrinkles on the face, including lines that form at the corners of the eyes (crow's feet), lines that form between the brows (glabellar lines), and lines that form on the forehead (forehead rhytids). In some cases, the injectables may also be used to treat some types of wrinkles around the mouth, migraines and even hyperhydrosis.

What are these treatments like?

Injecting Confidence uses very fine needles to inject the solution directly into the muscles of the face. The number of injections you'll need depends on the size of the treatment area.

How long will it take before I see the results of my treatment?

Right after treatment, the injection site may be slightly swollen or red, but these effects resolve very quickly. The effects of your treatment typically become evident 7-14 days after your injections.

How often will I need to have these injections to maintain my results?

In most cases, the results of Botox or Xeomin injections last about four months. Regular treatment can cause lines to become less pronounced over time, which means you may be able to wait longer between appointments.
